About Octopus Energy
Though only established in 2016, Octopus Energy now supplies around 2 million UK customers with 100% green electricity and optional carbon-offset gas. Green energy supplied by Octopus is backed by Renewable Energy Guarantee of Origin (REGO) Certificates.
Octopus Energy is primarily funded by Octopus Investments, one of the fastest growing investment management firms in the UK and the UK’s largest solar power investor. In a number of instances, Octopus Energy has been appointed Ofgem’s supplier of last resort, taking on customers when other providers have collapsed. This includes acquiring 580,000 customers from failed supplier, Avro, at the end of 2021.
Octopus Energy boasts simplicity, transparency and great customer service as part of their model, abandoning lock-in contracts and promising an average email response-rate of 30 minutes. They are also part of the Warm Home Discount scheme. They offer two main home tariffs, their fixed tariff (Octopus Fixed) and standard variable tariff (Flexible Octopus). The tariffs are available as both direct debit and PAYG. Business tariffs and EV tariffs are also available from Octopus Energy. Octopus Energy Reviews (4.8/5)
I spoke to a really nice person called Chyna, I spoke with here for no more than 10 minutes and she sorted out my problem, no one else had been able to do this for several months. Now this may seem negative against other operatives, but not really. Each person I spoke to had positive attributes, but somehow we didn't get to where I needed to be.All sorted now and hopefully I can be hiccup free!!Thank you Chyna
