Eon Energy Fix Online 8 Tariff Review and Rates

The current cheapest tariff from Eon Energy is their fix online 8 which has a massive discount against standard rates and can save you hundreds each year.

Fix Online 8 at a Glance

This Eon energy tariff allows you to fix your rates online up to 1st July 2011 and has a huge 18% discount against a standard tariff and is Eon’s cheapest dual fuel tariff. You must pay be direct debit and manage your account online. Although Eon says you can save around £200 per year by switching over to fix online 8 the rewards may be greater if you use more fuel or are on another standard tariff from another energy company. Here’s what you get :

• Pay by monthly direct debit
• Free energy monitor under their energy fit programme
• Manage your account online and provide meter readings
• No early termination penalties but you will lose the fix online discount if you move away before the end of the contract

How do I get this tariff ?

If you are already an Eon customer and go to one of the price comparison energy websites they will say you are not eligible for this tariff but that is not the case. Simply log into your Eon account (if you don’t have one then register and log in) and go to the area for switching tariffs. The fix online tariff and all the details are shown to you right there (on the home page under “switch or view your product and tariff” and you can choose to be switched onto this immediately. If you don’t see the options then call the customer service centre and they can do it for you.

If you are not an Eon customer then either sign up via an energy price comparison website or go directly to the Eon energy website and look for the fix online tariff. You can actually undertake a price comparison on their site as well.

E.ON FixOnline 8 is our their cheapest Dual Fuel product available and also provides the benefit of fixed prices right up until 1 July 2011. Fix your energy prices, receive an additional FixOnline discount and see how much you could save. A contract cancellation fee of £30 may apply if you move from this plan before the end date. Tesco Clubcard points are not available with this product.

With this being one of the cheapest tariffs on the market, if you want to take advantage of the low prices and don’t mind fixing for just over a year then it’s worth checking out by going to their website and seeing how much cheaper it is against your current energy provider.
